Joe and Andrea Zanayed
Our new Lead Pastor is coming soon!

Joe Zanayed (Zuh-NAY-ed) graduated from Wheaton College with a BA in Biblical Studies, and from Wheaton Graduate School with a MA in Cross-Cultural Studies. He then worked at Bloomingdale Alliance Church in IL for 2 years as the pastor of young adults and discipleship ministries. In 2009, Pastor Joe and his family moved to Jerusalem to serve there. They studied Arabic for 2 years and then moved into the West Bank to help plant Mosaic International Church. In 2012, Joe became the head pastor of the church plant. He and his wife, Andrea, also helped to open an English Center and were very involved in both adult and children’s outreach ministries in the West Bank. In 2020, they returned to the US with a passion to continue serving in pastoral ministry. Joe and Andrea have 3 children ages 12, 11, and 7. Joe is very excited to join as our lead pastor starting August 2021!

Fun Facts About Joe
  • Joe was an excellent basketball player in high school but while practicing alone one day in his driveway, he felt God asking him to give up his pursuit of basketball in order to serve in ministry.
  • You can ask Joe what it’s like to eat camel meat, as he was offered that on more than one occasion while living in the West Bank!
  • Joe spent his early years in Chicago near Wrigley Stadium.  He is a huge Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears fan.
  • Joe’s second son was born in Jerusalem, which is one of the only places in the world where you can be born and not have a “country” listed on your US passport (due to political tensions between Israel and Palestine)!
  • Joe enjoys playing card games and strategy games.  You might find him during his time off on a team with his tween boys in a Rocket League tournament.
